Remember that designing jewellery for winter, Christmas and New Year’s Eve has its own rules, so below we have prepared a guide with practical tips on how to make jewellery for the coldest season, based on the latest jewelry trends.
Current jewelry trends – winter 2022/2023
The fall 2022 was dominated by earpieces in the XXL version, chains, hoop earrings and ear cuffs, as well as necklaces and chokers, thick chains, long necklaces with pendants, sets of necklaces, pearls, natural stones and crystals. The hands are decorated with heavy and bangle bracelets, the fingers with massive rings with colored stones. Jewelry trends 2022 are dominated by splendor, inspired by unique pieces almost straight from royal courts. Find out more about fashionable jewelry for fall 2022 in a separate article: Fall 2022 jewelry. The trends that will dominate the winter of 2022/2023 slightly differ from the fall ones, but there are interesting nuances that we describe below.
One of the key trends of the coming season is jewellery inspired by nature and organic shapes. Most often they are spatial casts and sculptural forms resembling works of art. Regardless of whether they take the form of earrings, pendants, necklaces, bracelets or rings, their artistic shapes are polished to a high gloss to gain even more in their splendor. Explore our stock and find both sterling silver jewellery findings, which will allow you to create your own compositions in this style, as well as ready-made products to which you only need to attach a bracelet or necklace chain, or earring clasps to get a ready-made jewellery. An example is the connector, pendant, drops earrings and a wave ring visible in the photo, which both in silver and gold-plated form look like art works inspired by the beauty of nature.
The winter time is rich in family and company meetings and outings with friends, which is why it is a great opportunity to make phenomenal, sparkling and surprising jewellery. The inspiration from the world’s famous catwalks perfectly matching this party trend, are shiny cocktail earrings decorated with crystals or rhinestones and fringe earrings. Most often, silver and gold chains, as well as crystals, cubic zirconia and their combinations are essentials for their creation.
In our offer, you will find earrings making supplies in the form of cups for sticking crystals with soldered cube chains. They just require matching them with GAVBARI crystals and pasting them into the cups using jewelry glue to create ready-made hanging earrings with magically shimmering decorations. If you plan to make earrings with pendants, we recommend stud earrings, consisting of the same cup, but instead of a chain, the component has a jump ring, thanks to which you can attach connectors, pendants, chains or other materials to create tassel earrings. You can design long cascades of crystals using earwires, hoop earrings, and other sterling silver supplies for hanging earrings. You can create tassel earrings made of chains on the basis of a silver pendant with three hoops, on which you will hang the key decorations. For this purpose, choose silver chain in bulk, which in our stock are available in various weaves and sizes, and make jewellery with long chains, which will slim the neck, add character and emphasize the colour of eyes.
Fashionable floral earrings
Another of the leading trends of the winter 2022 is jewellery with flowers. This year’s catwalks feature floral motifs, surprising with their artfulness and maximalism, but also with elegance, delicacy and airiness. Jewellery designers also presented many ways of vintage elements with peonies, roses, hibiscus, dahlias and tulips. Flowers or other floral inspirations are made of silver or gold, but also textiles, strings, fringes, resin, gemstones, crystals, pearls and cubic zirconia. Planning and designing earrings will be facilitated by our wide range of jewelry supplies for making earrings, as well as other silver semi-finished essentials such as tubes, connectors, jump rings or jewelry pins, useful for stringing beads or all the components with a hole.
As an inspiration in line with the aforementioned trend, we designed fabric flower earrings shown in the photo. For their creations we used closed earwires with a secure clasp, silver pins connecting ear wires with a pendant, silver tubes and silk flower pendants. They present fashionable earrings in line with the current trends. These types of earring design will add character to even the simplest stylizations and will look stylish in combination with outfits with a deeper neckline. If you are looking for less spectacular solutions, choose silver flower pendants with a crystal, with which you can decorate not only earrings, but also necklaces and bracelets.
Another proposal inspired by designs from catwalks are openwork flower beads, which will serve as the main or decorative element of bracelets and necklaces. For more minimalist motifs, we suggest a flower pendant for engraving. It has the form of a small tag with a hole, thanks to which you can connect it with a necklace or bracelet using a jump ring. A flower can be a single key decoration, but you can also use several pieces and produce a unique composition as a celebrity-type necklace with many pendants. This sterling silver component is also often used as a finish on a necklace or bracelet extension, engraved with the metal quality stamp “925” or logo.
Other trends for winter 2022/2023
The most fashionable jewelry 2022 is one that is characterized by maximalism and magnificence, which dominates the outfit, not only completes it. In addition to long and oversized earrings with artistic and spatial constructions, in the fall winter 2022 2023 season we also admire:
- scaled necklaces and choker designs decorated with XXL round pearls and glamor style crystals,
- open chokers resembling unfinished necklaces,
- gold and silver chunky chains worn close to the neck,
- delicate chain necklaces with punky charms: such as safety pins or lock and key necklace,
- necklaces sets,
- large silver pendants such as flowers, butterflies and hearts,
- massive multiple bracelets,
- several bracelets on one hand,
- arm cuffs,
- rings with stones – the bigger the stone, the better,
- mixing silver and gold rings,
- rings for several fingers,
- sets of rings for one finger,
- signet rings,
- perfectly round pearls with symmetrically elongated shapes decorating necklaces and earrings.
In addition to the above trends, the more classic ones, the jewellery creators surprised us with less conventional tendencies. Trends that also matter this winter will be a piercing mania, consisting in decorating the face and body with various types of jewellery. Explore our ear cuffs category, where you can find models that will work great as a fake nose ring and a lip ring. We offer smooth as well as twisted, textured, decorated and chain models.
Another hit is the chains for glasses, which are not only decorative, but also practical. You can make a silver or gold glasses holder strap on the basis of one of our jewellery findings by the meter, or a mix created on the basis of several weaves of chains. In the coming season, jewellery blended with clothing will also be in fashion, so it is worth trying a bit of eccentricity and designing a necklace, bracelet or other decorations that become a part of the clothes. Here, of course, you should take into account the ease of putting on and moving in this unique jewellery design.

Xmas is a great occasion to put on unusual, colorful and funky jewelry. Every year, the most popular during this period are pendants for necklaces, bracelets, earrings and even rings. The classic ones that have been leading the way for many years include: reindeer, Christmas trees, Santa Clauses, snowflakes, stars, moons, as well as religious motifs such as: a cross pendant, an angel charm or a wing pendant. This type of jewelry making supplies gives a lot of room for maneuver, because they can be exchanged depending on the season, occasion or styling. We most often connect pendants and charms with earring settings, necklace bails or chains with jump rings for jewelry or lobster claw clasps, thanks to which we can easily and quickly detach and fasten them.
Christmas necklaces and earrings can be funny, creative and bold, but it can also be elegant, sober and subtle. Despite the fact that stars in jewellery have been with us for a long time, with time they take on newer and newer versions. A frequent choice are fashionable star earrings in a minimalist version, in the form of subtle studs with a small-sized soldered star that adheres to the earlobe attractively. The perfect complement to such a delicate christmas stud earrings will be a necklace with stars made of a combination of pendants and chains for necklaces, which in our offer are available in various styles, weaves and galvanic coatings. The Christmastime is also associated with a frosty climate, warm and soft clothes, the light of a Christmas tree, fireplace and candles during a romantic dinner. Such an atmosphere encourages to put on accessories with crystals, pearls and white semi precious stones, such as a moonstone. This jewellery fashion looks beautiful in an atmospheric light, subtly brightening the face and emphasizing the beauty of the owner. For this reason, it is worth adding winter jewelry inspired by the coldest season of the year to your collection, which will be a perfect complement to winter stylizations.
Christmas gift jewellery making
In addition to precious stones, semi-precious stones are also very popular. When deciding on this type of jewellery gifts, put on onyx in the form of beads, from which you can create good luck bracelet made of stones, which are a perfect gift for people from the sign of Leo. You can make it by threading natural stone beads on a flexible line and creating a knot at their ends. The knot should be additionally strengthened with jewellery glue. You can also create a lucky bracelet on the basis of an inelastic link, at the ends of which you will attach bracelet clasps. Some people are looking for more sophisticated gifts, so it is worth going a step further and, in addition to individual accessories, also make jewellery sets. For this purpose, we recommend jade or another type of stone in the shape of moon that is very trendy in the last seasons. Jewellery has always been associated with emotions and the desire to express yourself, which is why its frequent components are birthstones, zodiac sign pendants, letters, nameplate necklaces, symbols or different material pendants carrying a specific message. In recent times, people are feeling insecure and looking for safety, even in the tiniest of forms, so we are seeing a growing interest in components that act as protective talismans. Personalized jewellery is growing in strength, so it is worth exploring the topic and find out how to make bracelets with custom pendants, personalised name necklace, string bracelets – which you can personalize by matching the color of the string and sterling silver connectors, as well as jewellery gifts with birthstones. Of course, symbols of love, friendship, respect and happiness remain on top, such as: a heart pendant, an infinity sign, a four-leaf clover, a horseshoe, a tree of life or an elephant.
Let’s not forget that with the appearance of the first frosts and snow, pendants associated with the winter and the festive mood become desirable. During this period, silver jewellery with stars, moon and snowflakes becomes an ideal gift idea, which goes well with winter sweaters and turtlenecks, as well as elegant and festive outfits. Stars and snowflakes are also a common idea for creating childrens jewellery. Other motifs eagerly chosen for children’s jewelry include: an angel pendant, animals, and other connectors for bracelets, which look charming both on a delicate chain and a colorful string.
Although some people think that jewelry as gift is dedicated only to women, men are more and more willing to receive gifts in this form. The most desirable mens jewelry are: cufflinks, silver and stone bracelets, as well as silver men’s chains. In addition, in recent seasons the trend has intensified and the demand for trending rings such as signets and mixing silver and gold custom rings, large pendants and a thick silver chain – most often worn around the neck and lucky charm bracelet – has increased.
